Terms of Service

Effective date: July 5, 2026 · Last updated: July 5, 2026

Welcome to Sartori AI. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Sartori AI platform, including our website at sartori.ai, the application at app.sartori.ai, and all related services (together, the "Service"). The Service is operated by Sartori AI ("Sartori," "we," "us," or "our").

By creating an account, redeeming an invitation code, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

Section 1Early Access & Invitations

The Service is currently offered as an invitation-only early access program. Access requires a valid invitation code issued by Sartori.

  • One code, one account. Each invitation code may be used to register exactly one account. Codes are personal to the recipient and may not be shared, sold, or transferred.
  • Revocation and expiry. We may set expiration dates on invitation codes and may revoke codes or suspend accounts at our discretion, including where we detect sharing, abuse, or misuse.
  • Beta character of the Service. Features may change, break, or be discontinued without notice. Data collected or created during early access may be modified or reset as the platform evolves. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you of material changes.

Section 2Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, whichever is greater) to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this requirement and that any registration information you provide is accurate.

Section 3Your Account

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us promptly at the contact address below if you suspect unauthorized access. We are not liable for losses arising from unauthorized use of your account where you have failed to safeguard your credentials.

Section 4The Service & Your Data

Sartori provides wardrobe intelligence: tools for cataloguing garments, receiving outfit and fit recommendations, and understanding wear behavior. In providing the Service, we process data you supply and data generated through your use, including:

  • Wardrobe data — items you log, photos you upload, tags, wear events, and preferences.
  • Behavioral data — interactions with recommendations, sessions, and engagement signals.
  • Connected account data — if you choose to link a financial account (via our integration partner, Plaid Inc.), purchase history relevant to wardrobe items. This connection is optional, consent-based, and revocable at any time in your settings.
  • Body and fit data — if you choose to use fit features, measurements or capture data you provide. These features are strictly opt-in and governed by an explicit consent step before any collection occurs.

Our collection and use of personal data is described in our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

You retain ownership of the content you upload — your photos, your wardrobe, your data. You grant Sartori a limited license to host, process, and analyze that content solely to operate and improve the Service.

Section 5AI-Generated Recommendations

The Service uses machine-learning systems to generate recommendations, including outfit suggestions, fit assessments, and style intelligence. You acknowledge that:

  • Recommendations are informational suggestions, not guarantees of fit, suitability, or satisfaction.
  • AI outputs may occasionally be inaccurate or incomplete. Use your own judgment before making purchase decisions based on recommendations.
  • Aggregated, de-identified behavioral signals may be used to improve our models and, for business customers, to produce anonymized analytics. We do not sell your personal data.

Section 6Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Share, transfer, or resell invitation codes or account access;
  • Probe, scan, overload, or otherwise attempt to circumvent the Service's security or rate limits;
  • Access the Service by automated means (bots, scrapers) without our written permission;
  • Upload content that is unlawful, infringing, or that you lack the rights to share;
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the Service's models, embeddings, or source code;
  • Use the Service to build a competing product or to train competing models.

We log access events, including IP addresses, for security and audit purposes as described in the Privacy Policy.

Section 7Intellectual Property

The Service — including its software, models, design, and branding — is owned by Sartori and protected by intellectual-property laws. These Terms grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for its intended purpose during your period of access. No other rights are granted.

Section 8Third-Party Services

The Service integrates with third-party providers, including Plaid Inc. for optional financial account connections and cloud infrastructure providers for hosting. Your use of those integrations may be subject to the third party's own terms. By connecting a financial account, you also agree to Plaid's End User Privacy Policy.

Section 9Termination

You may stop using the Service and request deletion of your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, if required by law, or if we discontinue the early access program. Upon termination, your license to use the Service ends; provisions that by their nature should survive (including Sections 5, 7, 10, 11, and 12) will survive.

Section 10Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. AS AN EARLY ACCESS PRODUCT, THE SERVICE MAY CONTAIN ERRORS AND MAY BE INTERRUPTED OR DISCONTINUED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT RECOMMENDATIONS WILL MEET YOUR EXPECTATIONS OR THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE.

Section 11Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SARTORI AND ITS OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AND PARTNERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID US FOR THE SERVICE IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR (B) ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS (US $100).

Section 12Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Sartori from claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your violation of these Terms or your misuse of the Service.

Section 13Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising out of these Terms or the Service will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Cook County, Illinois, and you consent to their jurisdiction. Either party may seek injunctive relief in any court of competent jurisdiction to protect intellectual property or confidential information.

Section 14Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms as the Service evolves. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or in-app notice before the changes take effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
